Asda has announced significant price reductions across 1,500 product lines, both in its physical stores and online.
The UK supermarket chain stated that the price cuts span a wide range of categories, with some items seeing reductions of up to 45%.
Notable products included in the price reduction initiative are baby wipes, cheeses, and laundry detergent.
In addition to these reductions, Asda has also lowered the price of both petrol and diesel by 4 pence per liter at all of its fuel stations.
These price adjustments follow Asda's decision to discontinue its Aldi and Lidl price-matching scheme a year after its implementation.
Earlier in January, Asda reintroduced its "Rollback" strategy, which involved reducing prices on over 4,000 products by an average of 25 per cent across all departments, both in-store and online.
"We reaffirmed our commitment to offering customers lower prices last week, and today we are delivering on that promise," said Allan Leighton, Asda's executive chairman. "By extending our Rollback initiative to thousands more products, we are making it easier for our customers to save money.
"With nearly 10,000 products now included in the Rollback campaign, we will continue to invest in lowering prices throughout the year and beyond."
