Franprix launches laundry services

French grocery chain Franprix has launched a new dry-cleaning service in partnership with laundry services firm Impekkable.

The service will be available in 90 stores in the Île-de-France region, with the company planning to expand the service to an additional 150 stores by the end of the year.

To use the service, customers need to register on the Impekkable website and purchase a starter kit for one euro.

After dropping off their dirty laundry, customers pay for the service via an app.
Clean laundry is returned to the customer the following week.

Impekkable claims it offers the dry-cleaning service “at laundromat prices” and relies on industrial processes to guarantee quality. It added that these processes are around four times more energy efficient than a domestic wash and uses less water.

Impekkable uses the Pickup network, also a Franprix partner, to transport the laundry.

Franprix said the move is part of its efforts to be a “good neighbour” by providing services for city dwellers which make their everyday lives easier.

These services include the launch of Vinted Go lockers in June 2022, partnerships with Amazon, and luggage and key storage services.
