H&M sales jump 12%

H&M Group’s net sales in local currency rose by 12 per cent in the second quarter of 2022 compared with the same period in 2021.

Converted to Swedish Korona (SEK), the figures, accounting for the period between 1 March and 31 May, were up 17 per cent compared with last year’s performance.

The company has stated that it will release its six-month financial report on 29 June, followed up with a press conference hosted by chief executive Helena Helmersson, chief financial officer Adam Karlsson, and head of investor relations, Nils Vinge.

In April, the fashion retailer said that its sales and profits had been “impacted by the negative effects” of the pandemic in many of its major markets.
