Vinted launches in Finland

Leading C2C online marketplace Vinted has announced its expansion into Finland.

This is the latest expansion into the Nordics for the second-hand fashion site, following its rollout in Denmark earlier this year and Sweden in 2022.

Vinted, which boasts over 80 million registered members globally and around 500 million items available across all market, said that Finish customers will be able to trade with customers in Denmark and Sweden, along with those in Lithuania where the company will next launch.

The company said that Finns have a “strong affinity” for second-hand shopping, and that 72 per cent of buyers choose pre-owned items mainly to save money while 63 per cent focus on decluttering.

Adam Jay, chief executive officer of Vinted Marketplace, said: "Launching in Finland is another important step forward for us, as we grow our presence in the Nordics and expand our platform.

“We know Finnish people are eager to adopt more circular behaviours and Vinted makes second-hand easy-to-access and good value for everyone. Despite our growth, the opportunity of the second-hand market is still huge, so we are excited for the future and each country we expand to.”
