Amazon & Morrisons in one-hour delivery deal

Amazon Prime customers in selected postcodes across London and Hertfordshire are now able to access a one-hour delivery service on groceries from Morrisons stores.

Prime members can choose from more than 10,000 additional products sourced from Morrisons stores by shopping on ‘Morrisons at Amazon’ via the Prime Now app. Customers are then able to choose one-hour delivery upon ordering which will cost £6.99, or delivery within a two-hour same-day delivery slot for no charge.

Amazon also offers a similar service on products from Spirited Wines and pharmacy chain John Bell & Croyden.

Mariangela Marseglia, director for Prime Now EU, said: “We are delighted to welcome Morrisons' increased selection to the Prime Now app, enabling us to grow the selection of items available to our Prime customers for one hour delivery.

“Morrisons store selection is in addition to existing local stores available on Prime Now - John Bell & Croyden and Spirited Wines - helping us to provide more than 10,000 additional items to customers for ultra-fast delivery, and we look forward to adding more stores and reaching more customers in the future.”

Back in June, it was also announced that Morrisons is to install hundreds of Amazon lockers in its stores, giving customers the opportunity to pick up their orders without the need to wait at home.
Customers using the Amazon Lockers receive an email or text with a unique code which they can then enter or scan to retrieve their product at the locker.
