Amazon to expand cashierless stores to US suburbs

Amazon is preparing to roll out its Amazon Go cashierless stores into the US suburbs.

The retail giant is set to build a new 6,150 square feet store in Mill Creek, Washington, a Seattle suburb.

Amazon also said it plans to expand to the Los Angeles metropolitan area in the coming months.

The news comes as Amazon continues to expand its cashierless presence in the UK.

Amazon recently launched three new London stores which use its cashierless “Just Walk Out” technology.

The new Amazon Fresh stores, in Chingford, Euston, and Wandsworth, brought the retail giant’s total portfolio of UK grocery stores to 15.
