Dutch same-day delivery company partners with Metapack

Trunkrs, the Netherlands-based company specialising in same-day and next-day delivery, has announced it is partnering with e-commerce tech business Metapack.

Trunkrs is now live on Metapack’s delivery platform in Holland and Belgium.

“Retail has dramatically changed over the past 18 months; our research shows that 79 per cent of people in The Netherlands have shopped online more during the pandemic and will continue to do so in the future,” said David Randall, director of sustainability at Metapack. “E-commerce has become the channel of choice for consumers, who now expect fast, convenient and sustainable delivery options.”

Randall added: “Working together with Trunkrs we’re able to help our retailers better manage changing consumer expectations and not only provide greater delivery experiences, but more sustainable experiences.”

Marc Kooiman, CCO at Trunkrs said: “Empowering retailers to deliver in a more sustainable way is at the forefront of everything that we do. Our same-day and next-day delivery services enable retailers to satisfy consumer desire for fast and convenient delivery options, in a more environmentally friendly way. Our ambition is to be completely emission free in the next two years and we’re well on our way to achieving this goal. Our new partnership with Metapack, will allow us to help even more retailers provide high quality and more sustainable delivery services to consumers across The Netherlands and Belgium.”
