ScS appoints new CFO

Mark Fleetwood has joined home furnishings retailer ScS as chief financial officer (CFO) and will also join the company’s board.

Fleetwood joins ScS from clothing retailer END, where he spent five years as CFO. Prior to this he was corporate finance director at landlord firm Grainger. He has also held roles at N+1 Singer and Brewin Dolphin.

Fleetwood replaces Chris Muir, who announced his intention to step down from the board and his role as CFO in December 2022. He will remain at ScS as executive director until late 2023 to ensure a smooth transition and oversee the publication of financial results.

He will take up his new role at the furniture and interiors company on 4 September 2023.

"Mark is a fantastic addition to our business and brings significant digital, retail and PLC experience to the Board. He has a growth mind-set and strong track record of delivery, which will support us as we continue to progress our strategy,” said Steve Carson, chief executive of ScS. “Mark will play a key part in the continued development of our growth plans and ambitions for the future, and we look forward to welcoming him.”
