Topshop to open London pop-up

Clothing brand Topshop will open a pop-up store for one day in London in partnership with Defected Records.

The move follows the news that Topshop products will be sold through partner retailer stores, with a standalone website also being relaunched for the brand.

Writing on LinkedIn, global marketing director of Topshop Moses Rashid said that shoppers could expect exclusive merchandise, a make-up team, and artwork from illustrator Russ Jones.

In 2021, Asos purchased the Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT brands and stock from Sir Philip Green's Arcadia group. The company paid £265 million for the brands and £30 million for the remaining stock, in a total deal worth £295 million.

Asos sold its majority stake in the brands to Heartland, the investment company of Danish fashion billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen in September 2024.

The deal saw Heartland acquire a 75 per cent interest in a new joint venture for £135 million, with Asos retaining a 25 per cent stake.
