Nisa has appointed Taranjit Singh Dhillon as head of retail to implement the convenience store chain’s business strategy.
Dhillon joins the firm from One Stop where he worked for 11 years. He was responsible for overseeing a network of 350 franchisees and worked with retail teams to optimise store layouts and implement a strategy to maximise revenue and profitability.
He has also held senior roles at Lidl, where he spent six years, as well as PepsiCo.
In his new role, Dhillon will be responsible for the development and delivery of Nisa’s retail strategy across its network of customer stores. Nisa said his experience puts him in a “strong position” to lead the company’s expansion and growth plans, adding that he will be able to focus on customer-focused solutions that make a difference for independent retailers.
Nisa said that Dhillon will start his role on 9 September and the company will make further appointments in the quarter to oversee its growth plans.
"His hands-on experience in independent retail and ability to build franchise relationships is exactly what we need to take our retailer proposition to the next level, and I’m confident he’s the right person to lead our retail team,” said Katie Secretan, director of sales and retail at Nisa. “Taranjit’s fresh ideas and proven success in driving growth will be key in helping us achieve our long-term strategy.”
